Welcome back to the 2023-24 school year! We hope you had a wonderful summer filled with fun, laughter, and relaxation. As we embark on a new academic year, we are excited to have you all back with us at Jefferson Elementary School.
First and foremost, we want to extend a warm welcome to our new families joining our school community. We are thrilled to have you as part of our family and look forward to getting to know every one of you.
To our returning families, welcome back! We missed you and cannot wait to continue our journey together. We are grateful for your continued trust and support in our school.
This year, we are committed to providing an exceptional learning experience for your children. Our dedicated team of educators has been working tirelessly to prepare engaging and enriching lessons that will challenge and inspire our scholars. We are excited to witness their growth and achievements throughout the year.
At Jefferson Elementary we believe that education is a partnership between the school, parents, and scholars. We encourage open communication and collaboration to ensure the success of our scholars. We value your involvement and invite you to actively participate in your child's education. Whether it's attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering in the classroom, or joining our parent-teacher association, your contribution makes a significant difference.
We understand that the transition back to school can sometimes be challenging for both parents and scholars. Rest assured, our caring and supportive staff is here to help make this transition as smooth as possible. We will provide a nurturing environment where your child feels safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
Throughout the year, we have planned various events and activities to foster a sense of community and togetherness. From family nights to school-wide celebrations, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to connect with other parents and for scholars to build friendships.
We encourage you to stay updated with school news and events through Class Dojo, our major form of communication, our website, newsletters, and social media platforms. Dear Families and Students,
Welcome back to another exciting school year at Jefferson Elementary School! We hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer break with memorable experiences and quality time with loved ones. As we embark on this new academic year, we are thrilled to reconnect with our returning families and extend a warm welcome to those joining us for the first time.
At Jefferson Elementary School, we are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated team of educators and staff has been working diligently to prepare for the upcoming school year, ensuring our classrooms are ready for engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
This year, we are excited to introduce new school hours: 8:20 a.m. – 3:17 p.m. Doors open at 7:55 a.m. for breakfast. We also aim to increase project-based learning and student clubs this school year. STEAM classes, art, music, and dance classes with COCA will also continue this year. These enhancements enrich our students' educational journey and support their growth in various areas. We are confident these initiatives will further strengthen our school community and provide additional opportunities for our students to excel.
As always, we value the partnership between home and school. Your involvement and support are crucial to your child's success, and we encourage you to stay engaged in their education. Whether attending school events, volunteering, or maintaining open communication with teachers, your active participation helps create a positive and collaborative learning environment.
We understand that starting a new school year can bring excitement and nerves for both students and parents. Rest assured; our staff is here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Together, we can make this school year a rewarding and successful for all.
