Counselor
  • Hello!
My name is Ms. LaVonda Carter, and I am honored to serve as the School Counselor at Jefferson Elementary. My role is to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development while helping them navigate challenges and celebrate their successes.

I believe that every student has unique strengths and potential, and my goal is to help them thrive both in and out of the classroom. Through individual and group counseling, classroom lessons, and collaboration with families and teachers, I aim to create a positive and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued and supported.

    How I Can Support Students:

    • Providing individual and small-group counseling to address social-emotional needs, stress, and goal-setting.
    • Teaching classroom lessons focused on topics like empathy, conflict resolution, and mindfulness.
    • Supporting students with academic challenges by helping them develop study skills and time management strategies.
    • Working with families and teachers to address any barriers to success and ensure each child has the tools they need to succeed.

    A Little About Me:

    • I am gaining experience as a counselor and am passionate about helping children grow and succeed.
    • My favorite part of being a counselor is building relationships and seeing students develop confidence in themselves.
