Welcome to fifth grade!  I am Ms. Hardnett and I will be your child’s fifth grade teacher.  I am looking forward to an exciting ten months getting to know your child.  I am confident that this will be a great and productive school year.

I am a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO.  This will be my seventh school year with St. Louis Public Schools.  I have had the honor of teaching kindergarten, first grade and fifth grade.  I choose to serve in this position because of my love and passion for teaching and imparting a strong belief in each child.  I am excited about my opportunity to serve as the fifth grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary for the 2024/2025 school year.

 Our classroom theme for this school year is "World Changers" and we plan to make a mark at Jefferson Elementary that will never be erased.  My goals are set based on the belief that my students will prosper in every area this school year.   Our classroom expectations are set daily, and we will meet and exceed grade level standards.

I am excited about this fifth grade journey with your child.  Please remember that from 8:20 a.m. to 3:17 p.m.each school day I am here to love, to teach, to encourage and to guide your child.  We stand in expectation of a successful school year.
