    Welcome to 6th Grade Social Studies! My name is Mr. Maigyara, and I am super excited to be your 6th grade Social Studies teacher. I just can't wait to get to know you and to help you learn and grow. Did you know that I was born and raised in Nigeria, west Africa? I curently live with my wife and two school age children. I love to read fiction and enjoy traveling around the world. I play soccer during my days as a youngman and play board games with my family.

    Welcome to a new school year! I am Ismaila Maigyara, and looking forward to us partnering this year to help your wonderful child learn and grow. This is my 22nd year of teaching middle school Science and Social Studies in different schools with SLPS. I earned my bachelor's degree from Harris-Stowe State University, a Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Lincoln Univerity, and Education Specialist in Administration from Lindenwood University. I will do my best to provide your child with a safe, positive, and structured classroom. I will also communicate with you regularly on upcoming events, learning goals, and your child's progress.
