Clayton Davis

Hi, my name is Clay Davis and I will be teaching 8th Grade ELA this year.  I was born in Belleville, Illinois and graduated from O'fallon Township High School.  I then graduated from Lindenwood University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Criminal Justice.  I am currently working on my master's at Washington University.  As an ELA teacher you will always catch me reading anything from a captivating novel to an obscure comic book.  When I am not reading, I am either watching or discussing sports.  I am excited to begin exploring the world of literature and language with this year's incoming students.

In order to succeed in my class, students are expected to consistently engage by embracing new challenges, regularly reading, thoughtfully analyzing texts, and expressing their unique thoughts in a coherent way.  Consistently meeting these expectations will ensure that students will leave my class as confident communicators, critical thinkers, and skilled readers and writers.
