Welcome Back to School!
We are getting ready to welcome our Long Lynx Students back to Long! School starts Monday, August 19th, at 7:15 AM!

All summer, the building has been under construction renovating bathrooms, new flooring in classrooms, new interior paint, and new water bottle fillers! There are a few projects still under way, and we are looking forward to seeing them completed very soon. One pivotal change was our transition from the Tigers to the Lynx. We are now the Long Lynxes! Along with the mascot change, our school colors have changed to light blue (North Caroline blue), navy blue, and gray. We ordered every Lynx sweatshirt, and a Lynx water bottle. They will be delivered to the school within the first two weeks. We will send these items home with each student and notify you of their delivery; there is NO FEE for these items. If a student misplaces or loses any of these items, there will be a CHARGE to REORDER. Our mascot and school colors have been updated on the website to reflect these changes: 6th grade--light blue tops, 7th grade--navy tops, 8th grade--charcoal gray tops.

Our Welcome Back to School Night is August 22nd from 5-8 PM. You will have time to visit classrooms, tour the school, meet staff and teachers, visit our Partnership Fair, and treat yourself to Kona Ice!
