Welcome to 1st Grade!  My name is Mr. Mitchell and I will be your student's 1st Grade teacher  I am a St. Louis native and have been teaching in the SLPS district for nine years.  I received my Bachelor's degree (BA) in Elementary Education from Webster University in 2014.  Prior to that I was a toy designer, museum exhibit designer, and production manager.  I also retired from the U.S. Army in 2017 after over 21 years service on Active Duty and in the Army National Guard.  I am excited to begin this school year and watch your child grow!

Please check the other tabs for more detailed information on our daily schedule, weekly lesson plans, and links to important educational sites.  We will mainly be using Class Dojo for home communication.  I will be sending invites on the first week of school.  We will be using Microsoft Teams especially if we have to return to virtual learning for any reason.  You may also check this teacher website for parent/guardian information.
