Welcome to my web page!  I am Karen Forbis one of the Special Education Cross-Categorical teachers here at Mann Elementary. I am entering my tenth year of teaching.  In addition to being the Resource teacher for the 2024-2025 school year, I have also taught students on the Autism spectrum,  students diagnosed with Down syndrome, and students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Deaf Education from Fontbonne University and a Master of Education Degree from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.  I hold certifications in Elementary Education, Deaf Education and Special Education: Cross Categorical.  I look forward to providing a safe learning environment for all of my students.
