Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.
-Edgar Degas
My teaching philosophy is that all students can learn to draw and all students can learn to create art regardless of their artistic talents. Students can learn to create art through the study of the Principles and Elements of Art.
This year in the art room the students will learn the Principles and Elements of Art. They will use this information to create artwork for various contests and the production of their own art through various projects. The students will also learn more about art through reading and writing about art and the discussion of art. This year the artroom will be using Standards based Grading. I am looking forward to starting my 30th year of teaching in August of 2023.
