Hello All!

I am Nurse Teri. You will quickly find that I love sloths the moment you step into my office. I have been working as a school nurse for 8 months (I joined Buder in October of 2021). I am looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year! I have always wanted to work with kids, so this career path has truly been a dream come true for me. I have been a RN for 13 years, my other paths would include home health, billing and coding and rehab nursing before coming to Buder. I have been in the healthcare field since 1998. I worked my way from bottom to top, starting out as a secretary, then a CNA, then so fourth. 

I picked nursing because while I don't love to see people sick and suffering I do love to help those feel better and I enjoy being part of it, students come in and out of my office often for many reasons; some just need a laugh because they just weren't quite ready to start the day while others truly weren't feeling well. I am always here to help with whatever accident, ouchy or medical issue comes about for the day. I believe it all started when I was 7 years old and I helped take care of my grandfather who was paralyzed; he passed away when I was 16 years old. 

Outside of work I enjoy hanging out with my 11 year old son Lucas, reading, playing sudoku, crochet and cross stitching. Most recently, I have made several amazing good friends at Buder as well and its become a set of friends to also have outside of the work place. I truly love working at Buder and being apart of a community that is growing strong inside the building and outside.
