Buder Elementary School

Welcome to the Buder Elementary School Web Site.

Buder Elementary School, is a regular integrated school, named in honor of Susan Rassieur Buder, a woman who dedicated her life to the interests and welfare of children. We are located in the Southwest section of our city and we service approximately 310 children in kindergarten through grade five, including the gifted/talented and students with special needs.

Buder is involved in school reform initiatives such as the St. Louis Model and the Urban Systemic Initiative (a focus on mathematics, science and technology). All initiatives are based upon the concept of improved student academic achievement through quality leadership, teaching and learning, positive school culture and high expectations. By focusing on the St. Louis Model, we will address the needs of all our students in the areas that will maximize our potential to reach our Goal-Increased student academic achievement.
