• Counselor Message

Counseling is an absolute passion of mine! It's my hope to have a year full of exploration and growth together!  My ultimate hope is to help make this school year go as smoothly as possible by helping to establish academic prowess, promote social/emotional well-being and healthy decision-making, and assist with post-secondary planning. There's a saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and I'd like to thank you for trusting me to be a part of that village.

    Biography

I received my Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received my two Master's degrees in School/Professional Counseling and School Administration at Lindenwood University.  I have been working for Saint Louis Public Schools for almost 10 years, and it's where I began my professional career.  I served as a Substitute Teacher and Interim School Counselor for 3 years before becoming a permanent School Counselor in 2015.  I served students as an Elementary Counselor for 3 years before becoming a High School School Counselor at Career Academy in 2018.  I can say it's been an adventure serving such an array of students, but high school is where my "WHY" lies! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking up new hobbies, and doing community service work in my hometown of East St. Louis, Illinois through my illustrious sorority of ΔΣθ Sorority, Inc.
