Gateway MST Elementary School

I am currently a 17th year educator specializing in reading. In addition to being a reading teacher I have served, or am currently serving in the following leadership and volunteer positions: mentor for beginning teachers, member of our leadership team, mentor for students, SLPS District Professional Development Presenter, Recruitment Fellow, Curriculum Writer, Interim AIC, Teach for America Partner Teacher during summer school, 21^st Century teacher, and I am responsible for bringing Girls on the Run St. Louis to my school – where I continue to be the site liaison and head coach.  I am also the recipient of the 2019 Math Educator of the Year award for our district and the 2015 Pettus Award of Excellence in Teaching.  I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s degree in Education, and a Special Education K-12 Reading Specialist certification. I absolutely love my work, and my students! I am so excited to get to spend another year with all of our Gateway Gators!
