Mrs. Smith
As an award-winning St. Louis Public Schools Elementary Science Teacher and former St. Louis Plan Consultant Teacher, she believes education not only equips students with essential skills in reading and mathematics, but also provides the foundation for lifelong success.
Over the course of 28 years with St. Louis Public Schools, she has taught grades 3, 4, and 5 in both the regular classroom and the science inquiry lab. During this time, she contributed to curriculum planning and implementation for the elementary science program and actively participated in local and national workshops, professional development sessions, and conferences to strengthen her expertise as an educator.
In her role as a Consultant Teacher, she provided support and guidance to colleagues in addressing day-to-day instructional challenges and curriculum implementation. She played an integral role in coaching and evaluating teachers in the areas of Planning and Preparation, Classroom Environment, and Instruction.
She currently serves as a 5th grade teacher and team leader at Gateway Math, Science, and Technology Elementary School.
She welcomes and values parent involvement throughout the year and encourages open communication. Parents are invited to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns.
