Course Description

  • The Medical Assistant program at Beaumont Technical Center is an accredited career training program. This program consists of clinical lectures and clinical skill practicum. Students will be educated about and demonstrate the administrative and clinical responsibilities of a Medical Assistant. Students will have the opportunity to practice these skills. At a variety of local clinical health partner facilities. This training prepares students to receive Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant and Clinical Medical Assistant through the National Healthcareer Association. Upon graduation, our students will have the opportunity to hold multiple certifications and be members of respected organizations in their future career choices. Such as the health science club HOSA for future healthcare professionals. Receiving a National Health Science Certificate with four stackable certificates in Foundations of Healthcare Professionals, Essentials of Healthcare Practices, Human Structure, Function and Disease A, and Human Structure, Function and Disease B document proficiency on the National Health Science Standards. National Certification as an Administrative and Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Biller and Coder, Certified Electronic Health Record Technician, Phlebotomist and EKG Technician. Our students will be able to work in a variety of clinical specialities, ambulatory and hospital settings.
