Hello Mason families! My name is Coach Nehring (previously Coach Cather) and this is my 4th year as a Physical Education teacher at Mason! I am very excited to join Coach Nuener again this year, and to see all of the wonderful students at Mason School of Academic and Cultural Literacy! 

A little bit about me

I was born and raised in St. Louis. I graduated from UMSL with my degree in Physical Education in 2018 and currently live in the South St. Louis area with my husband, my daughter, and our two cats. 

This is my 7th year teaching physical education and my 5th year teaching in Saint Louis Public Schools. I began in the Lindbergh School District and moved to SLPS in 2020 where I taught PE at Dunbar Elementary School. I love being active and trying new activities! Some of my favorite ways to stay active are biking, hiking, and playing basketball and soccer. 

I am beyond excited to get the year started and to help create a wonderful physical education program that teaches students the value of physical activity.
