Ms. Dersch is in her 22nd year of teaching, and this is her sixth year teaching at Collegiate. She graduated from Missouri S &T with her BA in English. While an undergrad she won numerous awards for her papers involving heat transfer and thermodynamics. After receiving her teaching credentials in high school English, she taught English in the Hazelwood School District for 12 years. Ms. Dersch's MA is in Education Administration, and she served as a summer principal for three years. Over the last few years, Ms. Dersch gained additional teaching certifications and has taught middle school English, Art, Music, Special Education, and Elementary Education in St. Charles County before finally perching at Collegiate School. She loves sharing her wit and wisdom with the future STEM leaders at Collegiate.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, swimming, and spending time with family.
