David Green began his tenure with Miller Career Academy in the fall of 2017 and teaches Culinary Arts. As a professional in the foodservice industry David began his career as a dishwasher over 30 yrs. ago. I then began moving up the kitchen brigade chain working at various entities at places i.e Forest Park Hotel, McDonnell Douglas, Adams Mark Hotel, Forest Park Community College (Adjunct Instructor)etc... My career took off when my career led me to St.Louis Job Corps for 22yrs. where I worked my self into becoming the Culinary Arts Instructor for 13 years. I then was promoted to  manager over the cafeteria. During my career I have participated in professional development by attending various workshops in the industry.

MY personal life has aided me in the role I find myself now. I have a passion for working with youth and advocating for them in the following areas:

-Youth Athletics Coach

-Parent Teachers Organization 

-Parent Advisory Council

-School Board Director

-Teacher

 My passion and skill in Culinary has allowed me to prepare my students for internship opportunities and employment upon graduation. The students that have crossed my path are not only prepared for the foodservice industry, but are also prepared for life overall due to my example of leadership, compassion, and love of humanity both spiritually/physically.
