ERIK T. FINDALL
UNITED STATES NAVY RETIRED
Senior Chief Findall, a native of Saint Louis, Missouri and a graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas-Mercy High School, enlisted in the United States Navy in October 1992. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois he reported to Fleet Combat Training Center, Dam Neck, Virginia where he was an Honor Graduate of Operations “A” School.
Upon graduation, he reported for duty onboard the USS O’BRIEN (DD 975) homeported in Yokosuka Japan where he was able to move threw the ranks to Petty Officer 2nd Class. He then transfered to USS INDEPENDENCE (CV 62) in Yokosuka, Japan via Anti-Submarine Tactcal Air Controler school and while onboard was able to earne his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist. He then transferred to USS GETTYSBURG (CG 64) homeported in Mayport, Florida where he was promoted to Petty Officer First Class. He then transfered to USS McINERNEY (FFG 9) also homeported in Mayport, Florida via Air Intercept Controller school, while onboard he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer. Then onto his first shore assignment at Afloat Training Group – Pacific, San Diego, California, where he earned his Master Training Specialist and Afloat Training Specialist. After being selected for Senior Chief Petty Officer, he reported onboard USS PINCKNEY (DDG 91), San Diego, California, via Air Control Supervisior school where he served as Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and Air Control Supervisor. His last duty assignment was at Center for Surface Combat Systems, San Diego Detachment, San Diego, California as Administration Department Head and Balistic Missile Defense Instructor.
After 22 years of Naval Service, he retired and moved back to his hometown of Saint Louis, Missouri. Senior Chief Findall is severing as a Naval Science Instructor at Clyde C. Miller Career Academy, Saint Louis, Missouri. He holds an Bachelor of Science in History from Excelsior University and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 159 (Blue). His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
Senior Chief Findall has three boys.
