Greetings to you all! My name is Dwight Cato and this is my fifth year as school counselor for SLPS. I began working in the field of Human Services in August 2015. I was a Community Support Specialist for St. Louis ARC, working with adult individuals living with intellectual disabilities. After receiving my B.A. from Columbia College the following year, I accepted an ABA Implementer position which focused on working with children between ages 18 months and 6years, who have developmental delays and/or autism. In 2018 I began working for SLPS as a Building Substitute at Meramec Elementary. In August 2020, I completed graduate school at Lindenwood University to obtain my M.A. in School Counseling. I have filled with gratitude to be able serve at Froebel since working in this position. I have been married for 10 years! My wife and I have 2 beautiful and energetic boys, 1 dog, and 1 cat.

I look forward to working with all families and staff this year! I keep an open mind and an open heart for our community, students, and families.

Fun fact: I am a huge Marvel,Harry Potter, and Star Wars Fan.
