Meet Ms. Barker

Hello, Pre-K families!  The 2024/2025 school year is my sixth year at Hodgen Tech Academy and fourth teaching Pre-Kindergarten. I previously taught Kindergarten here, and while I loved it, Pre-K is where my heart is as I enjoy play-based learning! This year is my 14th in public education. Before joining the St. Louis Public School District, I was a Pre-K teaching assistant in the Hazelwood School District for six years, then a first grade teacher for two. I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University. I was born and raised in the St. Louis area and love the community! I spend my free time with family, at Cardinals games, concerts, and traveling!  I look forward to continuing this educational journey with your Pre-K scholar!
