Hello!  I am Ms. Carter.  I am happy to say I will be teaching first grade boys!  I have been teaching at St. Louis Public Schools since 2000/2001.  I have taught 3rd grade and 1st grade during my teaching career.  I have received the Pettus Award for teaching excellence during that time.  I grew up in St. Peters, MO.  I lived in Washington state during my senior year in high school and one year of college.  I moved back to Missouri and have been living in South St. Louis ever since.  I received my Bachelor degree from UMSL.  I have one son who actually attended Woerner Kindergarten through 5th grade and graduated from McKinley high school.  I love teaching.  I am will be dedicated to teaching all my boys to the highest of standards.  I am looking forward to working along side of you to ensure your child's success.  Communication is key!  Please call, text, or email me with any questions or concerns.  I will get back to you as quickly as I can.  I am confident if we work together this year will be a great success!  Thank you in advance!
