Lexington Elementary School

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Zimmer and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year.  It’s going to be a fun year filled with lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!  I want to know all about your child, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.

I was born and raised in Wood River, Illinois and I am still living there today.  I have two sisters and one brother.  I graduated from Greenville College in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  

I taught preschool for 3 years in Alton, Illinois and spent 2 years teaching kindergarten and third grade in Roxana, Illinois.  This will be my 10^th year teaching at Lexington.  I love teaching preschool and I promise to challenge your children every day to be the best student they can be!

I have been married to my wonderful husband, David, for eight years. He works for an emergency response company in the St. Louis area.  Together we have the most adorable boy named Bentley.  He is 9 years old and has the brightest blue eyes and blonde hair.  He will be in 4th grade this year and is really excited for a new year.  In my free time, I love playing softball and volleyball, swimming, spending time with family/friends, and going to church!
