Hello!

       My name is Dutches Skinner. I am called “Ms. Skinner” at Ames. I am the Cross-Cat Special Education Teacher for grades K-5^th grade. I have been teaching in the field of education for 10 years, particularly special education. I have worked in the capacity as a classroom teacher (ECSE/Cross-Cat), teacher's aide, and substitute in both positions. I have a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a master’s degree in Special Education. I am a single mother of three children. I love family. It is my number 1 priority. I also love teaching, traveling, and having lots of “ME TIME” time. My goal in life is to help as many people as possible be successful and productive citizens. I feel like counseling or social work is my true calling. I am excited about working with the scholars of Ames Elementary and their families.
