I am the interim Nurse here at Sigel.  My office hrs are Monday, Wednesday, and every orther Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.  I have enjoyed school nursng for approximately 4 years and prior to school nursing, was a dedicated Medical/Surgical nurse at the Veteran's Hospital at John Cochran Medical Center for 12 years.  I have worked in public health, home care, and gereatric nursing.  

What I enjoy about school nursing besides having my nights, holidays, and weekends to enjoy my family and friends (yes)  is the children.  Nothing beats an elbow bump greeting from a 4 year old.  Or the experience of seeing a 1st grader raise his arm and say, "Look Nurse Cathy, I can raise my arm over my head now"   Especially after his arm healed from a fracture.  

I am here to serve the children, staff, and community in any health issues that should come up.  I am also here to promote good health, growth and development, and lets have a little fun also.
