Hello and Welcome, Scholar Families!

My name is Sarah Heaney and this is my 4th year at Sigel as the school's Academic Instructional Coach.  This is my 18th year working for St Louis Public Schools!  I have had the best experiences throughout my career at three different schools (Ashland, Wilkinson ECC and Sigel) within the district.  I have taught PreSchool, PreSchool Inclusion, Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade.  I have also served as a school's Reading Specialist and as a Literacy Coach.

When I am not at Sigel, I am spending time with my family and friends.  My Husband and I have 3 wonderful children, who definitely keep us busy.  We spend many evenings and weekends cheering our kids on for their different sports.  In my free time, I love to read and listen to music.  I absolutely love to spend summers swimming and at the beach.

 As a member of the School's Leadership Team, my job at Sigel is unique and I feel so blessed to get to do what I love each day.  I spend the majority of my days with the staff and students of Sigel.  I love to help the teachers teach and the students learn.  Some of my other job responsibilities include: resource provider, data coach, curriculum specialist, instructional specialist, classroom supporter, mentor, learning facilitator, school leader, and hall/lunch/bus duty monitor.
