    Relaina Burns, Academic Instructional Coach

    Relaina Burns, Academic Instructional Coach, is in her 14th year at Washington Montessori School and her 35th year with SLPS. Relaina has faithfully served the district in various leadership roles and as a teacher within the district. Currently, as the Academic Instructional Coach, Relaina is charged with supporting the overall instructional process through the lens of administrators, instructional staff and students. Her work is achieved by serving as a resource provider, mentor, classroom supporter, learning facilitator, data coach, curriculum/instructional specialist and a school leader. 

    Relaina is passionate about her work, the instructional approach and the level of energy that is essential in making things happen.  Her professional goals for the 2022-23 school year is to function collectively as a viable team member by creating a more supportive learning experience that will empower teachers, enhance instruction and decrease the achievement gap so that all students at Washington Montessori School will reach their fullest potential academically, socially and emotionally.
