Hello! My name is Ms. Taryn Pohl and I am beyond excited to be your child’s teacher this year. This will be my third year at Washington Montessori. I was born and raised in Saint Louis, but I currently live downtown with my dog, Finn. 

I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education from Mizzou in May 2021. Currently, I am attending grad school at SLU to earn my Master's in Educational Leadership (administration). Right now, I hold my Missouri teaching certificates in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education - meaning I am certified to teach ages Birth-6th grade.  

I am the oldest of 3 siblings; my oldest brother Dreyton graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and is currently stationed in Oklahoma for pilot training. My youngest brother Kellan is in 7th grade in Rockwood. One of my favorite things to do outside the classroom is spend time with my family.

I love to travel; this past summer I went to Italy, New Orleans, and Chicago. When I am in town, I enjoy playing sand volleyball, coaching my 5th grade volleyball team, walking my dog, and shopping. I also LOVE coffee and Celsius energy drinks - I always have one in my hand!

I am looking forward to connecting with my students this year and can't wait to help them grow as learners!
