Hello families! My name is Ms. Taryn Pohl and I am beyond excited to be your child’s teacher this year. This will be my fourth year at Washington Montessori. I was born and raised in Saint Louis, but I currently live downtown with my dog, Finn. 

I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education from Mizzou in May 2021. I am currently working on my Master's degree in Educational Leadership at SLU - I am set to graduate in December! I also hold my Missouri teaching certificates in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, as well as Educational Leadership; Administration and Supervision. 

I am the oldest of 3 siblings; my oldest brother Dreyton graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and is currently stationed in New Mexico to finish his pilot training. My youngest brother Kellan is in 8th grade in Rockwood. One of my favorite things to do outside the classroom is spend time with my family.

I also love to travel; this summer I went to the Bahamas and New York City. When I am in town, I enjoy playing sand volleyball, going to Pilates, walking my dog, and shopping. I also LOVE coffee and Celsius energy drinks - I always have one in my hand!

I am looking forward to connecting with my students this year and can't wait to help them grow as learners!
