• Reading is essential! Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Ms. Webber's Learning Lab. As the classroom teacher, my primary goal is to keep students engaged and interested in learning. It is my personal belief that exploring various learning modalities is the key to academic success.  With that being stated, Webber’s Learning Lab embodies all subjects such as mathematics, grammar/writing, spelling, physical education, art, reading/literature, science and even music.  I have high expectations for all of my students and I am committed to assisting them with the expectations required of the SLPS Curriculum/Common Core Standards.

Also, to ensure clarity and transparency, it is customary on the first day of class that I provide students with a clear understanding of classroom rules, policies, and expectations.  During the discussion, students are open to ask questions and raise any concerns.  Please encourage your child to ask questions, as it is important that all students thoroughly understand behavioral expectations and classroom procedures from the start and end of every class.

In closing, I would like to express that it is important to keep the lines of communication open between parents/guardians and teachers.  Positive and productive communication is vital to your child’s success! You are essentially my eyes and ears at home and if you notice your child struggling, encourage them to ask me questions either during or after class.

Furthermore, please note that within Webber’s Learning Lab homework is intended to be an extended learning opportunity.   I look forward to a year of teaching and learning to ensure a positive and successful academic outcome for your child.  If you have any questions or concerns during the year, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at Dina.Webber@slps.org.

     Your Partner in Education,
