Hello,

Let me introduce myself, I am Ms. Carmon the Family Community Specialist for Ashland Elementary School. I have been with the St. Louis Public Schools for some time. My duties as a Specialist is to implement partnerships and activities between home and school that will increase parent involvement and participation in promoting the social, emotional and academic growth of children.

I also have the responsibility of attending meetings and professional development  activities and to work collaboratively with the school, staff and parents to develop and implement a School Parent Involvement  and Parent Teacher Compact. I also also must maintain records and submit reports  required for documentation of activities and provide assistance to parents in understanding the requirements of Title I. I would  to take the time to welcome our new families as well as our returning families to Ashland Elementary School.
