"AKOMA"  BLACK LOVE DAY  

The Akoma (the heart) is the symbol of Black Love Day.  The Akoma is an ancient African Symbol, Not a VALENTINE.  Black Love Day includes 5 basic acts of love to be shown for the Creator, self, family, community and race.  BKG Pamoja @ Cole will focus on the "Family" in support of Black Love Day.

 Each staff member and students will bring a picture of a family member.  The pictures will be displayed in the hallway on the first floor of the school.  Secondly, each student will write one positive statement about themselves, one positive statement about a classmate and one positive statement about their Mwalilmu (teacher).  Those statements will be displyaed in the hallway outside of each classroom.
