Greetings!!
WOW! This marks almost 15 years for me in school leadership and my 9th year as the proud school leader of Washington Montessori Elementary School. Throughout my journey with SLPS, I have served in a variety of leadership roles that have both stretched and strengthened my capacity to lead. My passion for lifelong learning and my commitment to excellence continue to fuel my work in educational leadership.
As a former middle school teacher of students with special needs, I understand the dedication and rigor it takes to ensure that every child has access to meaningful learning. I believe in equipping educators with the tools and support to implement non-traditional, research-based practices that open doors for students to thrive both academically and socially. At Washington Montessori, strategically planned lessons, hands-on instruction, and real-world connections keep our students engaged, motivated, and excited about learning.
This year, our community has faced a unique challenge. Following the devastating tornado on May 16, Washington Montessori is now co-located at Ames Visual and Performing Arts at 2900 Hadley Street in St. Louis, Missouri. While this setback has tested us, it has not stopped us. We are moving forward-strong, united, and committed to the work we do as educators for our children and families.
Together, we will continue to C.L.I.M.B!
