Hi Parents and Students! Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year at Gateway Michael!
My name is Rebecca Cook and I am one of the preschool teachers at Gateway Michael Elementary. I have been teaching for almost 14 years at Gateway Michael and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
Here are some facts about me:
- Dual certified Early Childhood Special Education; K-12 Cross Categorical Mild-Moderate Disabilities
- Earned my Bachelor's of Science, Education from UMSL
- Born and raised in South St. Louis
- I have a 12-year old daughter, Gabby
- I have 1 dog, Evie, and 1 cat, Athena
If these facts can tell you anything it's that I love education, children, helping others, and my hometown. Learning is an essential tool and working with little ones and helping them reach their goals is so exciting.
