As we all know, the world is currently in a state of constant unknown due to the pandemic and information that is presented to us often changes day to day. My goal for virtual learning is to provide instruction and support to students and their families. To help this process go as smoothly as possible there are expectations for all parties involved: myself, the students, and the families. As always, feel free to reach out to me via email, Class Dojo, or text :-)
Student Expectations:
- complete assignments and activites on Class Dojo and/or Microsoft Teams
- join weekly group therapy Zoom sessions (this will consist of myself, the student's group of related service providers, student, and parent)
- work on IEP goals during Zoom sessions, at instructional support centers, and/or at home
Parent Expectations:
- check in with teacher 2x weekly (this will most likely be a Monday and Friday check-in)
- ensure that your contact information is current and UTD. Please contact myself AND school to update any contact information.
- set up student's Class Dojo profile
- be present during all Zoom sessions
- assist student with assignments and activites
Teacher Expectations:
- make contact with families 2x weekly
- upload assignments and activities that are appropriate for students and families to complete in their home
- ensure that IEP goals are being addressed by delivering assignments and activites that are adaptable for all
- provide support and instruction from 8:05 am - 3:12 pm, Moday-Friday
