Biography:  This is my seventh year teaching at SLPS. Prior to this position, I was the Vision Teacher for the district.  I have taught previously at Confluence Charter Schools, as a Special Education Teacher.  I also taught in the Riverview Gardens School District.  I was trained in the area of science in this district.  I have a love for teaching and a love for enriching children's minds.  I hope to finish our year with as much enthusiasm and excitement as we had at the start of the year.

Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Gwendolyn Wray

I am a Special Education teacher, with a love of science.  I enjoy reading books, "mostly scary".  I like to try to swim and exercise in the pool.  I have always believed I was born to be a teacher.  I played school as a child, "i had to be the teacher".  I chose to teach special educatio for my field of study, because of my favorite teacher.  I was happy to have a teacher who treated me like a student.  "Not a disabled student".  He was Dr. Thierstein.  The hardest teacher I ever had.  Made my last year of undergraduate school tough.  His being so hard, brought  out the determination in me.  I wanted to in-still this type of fight into every student I worked with.  I am proud to be a TEACHER.
