Began her teaching career in 1994 in the Rockwood School District, where she was a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher.  She continued her educational journey in administration.  She became the Administrative Intern for Ballwin Elementary, Blevins Elementary and she served as a Summer School Principal for 5 years.

Dr. Cunigan became the principal of Dunbar Elementary in 2006, where she served Jeff Vanderlou Community for 6 years.  She also served on the administrative teams at AESM and Mullanphy Elementary Schools.

In October of 2014, Dr. Cunigan joined the Woodward Wildcat Family.  During that time, she completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership and she is a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Gamma Omega Chapter.

Dr. Cunigan holds an open-door policy when it concerns any of her students, staff or families of the Woodward Career Academy  Community.  She believes every child can learn and achieve his/her goals by building relationships and partnering with all stakeholders.
