Welcome to the Award Winning Soldan International Studies Air Force JROTC home page. This program was recognized in 2022 with the coveted "Exceeds Standards" rating during its Unit Evaluation. This is the highest rating a unit can receive and recognizes the outstanding leadership sewn into this JROTC program at all levels.
This program is designed to build community leaders and better citizens. It is not a recruitment program and there is absolutely no commitment to the military beyond this program. Scholars enrolled in the program are required to wear uniforms on certain days and meet dress and appearance standards. They will be instructed in the areas of Leadership, Aerospace Science, Drill and Physical Training.
Program Goals:
- 90% of cadet corps will achieve a 2.5 GPA at the end of each semester with no flight averaging less than a 2.2 GPA.
- 20% increase in cadet corps' PFT scores from Fall 2022 to Spring 2023.
- Cadet Recruiting Team to conduct 5 middle school recruiting visits prior to 26 May 2023.
- Each flight will complete a minimum of 10 hours of volunteer service dedicated to Soldan enrichment (recycling program, school beautification, etc...) by the end of each semester.
- Cadet Corps will provide no less than 5 Advisory Period presentations to Soldan student body highlighting the JROTC program and its activities prior to 26 May 2023.
- 90% of cadets will participate in no less than 4 community service events (parades, volunteer opportunities, etc...) prior to 26 May 2023.
- The cadet corps will conduct 2 fundraising events benefiting local charities prior to 26 May 2023.
