Ms. Johnson

Ms. Johnson commenced her teaching career three years ago, initially joining Saint Louis Public Schools as a substitute teacher. Demonstrating exceptional adaptability, she seamlessly transitioned into full-time classroom roles as needed. Over her tenure at Nahed Chapman New American Academy, Ms. Johnson has served in various capacities, including second grade teacher, ESOL teacher, and currently as a first-grade teacher. Her dedication to teaching English Language Learners is evident through her work and passion.
 
Ms. Johnson attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where she spent an additional five-year post. Her diverse background includes roles as a birth doula, nanny, and birthday event coordinator all of which have fueled her lifelong passion for working with children. Additionally, Ms. Johnson serves as the union building representative.
 
Outside of her professional commitments, Ms. Johnson enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and pursuing creative writing, including short stories and poetry.
