Mrs. Bass was born and raised in Central Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and worked in banking for several years before realizing she wanted to become a speech-language pathologist. She returned to school at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and then Saint Louis University where she earned a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2012. She worked in pediatric private practice before joining St. Louis Public Schools in 2018.

Mrs. Bass currently resides in South City with her husband and three children. She is passionate about serving the students and families of her community, and is proud to provide speech and language therapy at Mallinckrodt.
