Master of Occupational Therapy

Mrs. Kate Steingrubey, MOT, OTR/L

About Me:

I am an Occupational Therapist that provides therapy services to the students at Nottingham CAJT High School.  I began at Nottingham during the 2007-2008 school year and work with students to master essential skills needed for a successful transition into adulthood.  In Occupational Therapy, we focus on strenghening and maintaining fine motor, visual motor, self-care, executive functioning and independent living skills, to promote and support independence and employment.  In addition to being a part of the Longhorn family, I am also a part of the AAC evaluation team where I work with AAC facilitators to evaluate and assist with obtaining devices for students with communication needs.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, Jacob, and my two boys, Max and Wes.

Extended Break:

During this time of uncertainty and change, I will be including activities for my students to complete in the "OT Activities" section of this page, which will be updated weekly.  These activities are designed to address various skills as well as to support the students achieving their goals and help with the continuation of learning throughout this challenging time.  I am looking forward to being together once again!
