Hello,

I am excited and honored to be the Academic Instructional Coach (AIC) at Pierre Laclede Junior Career Academy. I began my career with SLPS in 2014 as a Special Education teacher then moving on in 2021 to become a Reading Interventionist. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Fontbonne University. I also earned a Master of Education and completed my certification in Reading from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

My approach to education and coaching begins with knowing and understanding the population I’m serving. It is my goal to foster equity and create a safe inviting space for discussions and learning, while building trusting professional relationships. Together we can make a difference in a student’s academic career. As your coach, it is my role to support effective instructional practices, analyze data, provide cognitive coaching cycles, and facilitate learning communities with evidence-based strategies. This will allow teachers to excel in their craft of teaching while students engage in a valuable learning experience that will help close the academic achievement gap.

I look forward to working with Laclede’s team of educators, staff, students, and parents!!! 

Outside of the academic setting, I enjoy spending time with family, game nights, reading and visiting museums.
