This is my 19th year teaching and my 10th year teaching Preschool.  It is my seventh year at Carver, but did begin my career in St. Louis at Imagine Academy of Environmental Science and Math.  My Bachelor and Masters Degrees are from Greenville College in Illinois. My masters degree is in Teaching.  

I am from a small town in Illinois and when I received my teaching degree. My husband and I decided we would like to see different parts of the United States. I taught in Las Vegas, Nevada, for two years (Kindergarten and 4th grade) and then in the Buckeye, Arizona, for four more years (4th and 5th grades). This is my second career. I spent 24 years as a Certified Drug and Alcohol counselor. The last 11 years were running Drug and Alcohol Programs in 11 different Illinois Department of Corrections facilities.  

I am a widow and currently live in south city with my dogs Rudy and Dirt.  When I am teaching from home, Dirt wants to be in the middle of the lesson so you will see him on virtual learning days.  We live in a quiet neighborhood and take nightly walks. 

I can't wait to work with you child and help them learn how to write and form letters and use math concepts to count.
