Hi,

This will be my seventh year teaching at Carver Elementary and my sixth as the first grade teacher! I previously worked as a case manager for recently arrived refugees and immigrants. I attended American University in Washington, DC, where I earned my BA in International Development and Spanish and later got my teaching certification through Washington University. I am currently working on my master's in education.

I'm a lifelong St. Louis resident and I love to run and bike around the city in my free time, visiting some of the historical sites and marveling over our amazing architecture. As my students all know, I spend my weekends running all the time, as I seem to constantly be training for some marathon or other race. I also love to read, play video games, and working on improving my Spanish. 

I am very excited to be back in the classroom with everyone and excited to help my students get used to the first grade routines!
