Getting To Know Title I
Program Description
1. Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.
2. The school must focus Title I services on children who are failing, or most at risk of failing to meet standards.
3. Designed to help students served by the program to achieve proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards.
4. Schools with percentages of students from low-income families of at least 40 percent may use Title I funds along with other federal, state and local funds to operate.

School Parent and Family Engagement Policy
The School Parent and Family Engagement Policy creates opportunities for Meramec staff, alongside parents/caregivers, through committed individual/shared responsibilities, to work closely together, ensuring a positive and successful school year for students. The goal is to promote successful parental involvement and engagement among parents/caregivers, staff, and students.
