Welcome back to school! My name is Mr. Kenneth Moore. As the fourth grade teacher here at Columbia, I am thrilled and motivated to work with parents, students, and staff. I have a passion for student learning and engagement. I believe that dreams become reality when we put the power of the mind and relentless pursuit of excellence into action. I believe in collaboration, a growth mindset, and persistence in overcoming obstacles.

I enjoy growing from experiences and learning from students as much as they learn from me. With the challenges of the pandemic and virtual learning, many of our students experienced unfinished learning, academically, socially, and emotionally. Now more than ever, we as a school family and community must invest in our future, the children.   I have served in Webster Groves and University City School District as a teacher and building substitute.  I am a writer and an avid reader. I am a graduate of St. Louis Public Schools. I know first hand the opportunities as well as the challenges that our students face. It is with this resolve that I have accepted this opportunity to serve as a liaison and catalyst in assisting our students forge ahead into the challenges that lie ahead.
