Hello, My name is Mrs. Hodge. I have been a teacher for thirteen years now! I graduated from UMSL with my bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and I got my Masters in Reading from Webster University. My whole life I have wanted to be a teacher. I am not sure why. My mom has told me that since I was three years old I said I wanted to be a teacher and I have never said anything else. I love working with children and helping children learn. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, and third grade in my many years of teaching. In my classroom we work hard, learn, have fun, and, most of all, we are a family. I work with my students on their academic and their social/emotional skills. I believe that you cannot get a student to reach their full potential if they do not trust you or if they do not think you care. I make sure that each student knows that they can trust me, and they know I care about them.
