Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year 

My name is Shirley Walters and I am honored to be your child's First Grade Teacher and a part of the Hamilton Elementary team.  I am passionate about teaching and learning and believe all children can learn to their highest potential.  

I have been in education for just over 22 years. I have been a Teacher's Assistant, a Reading Teacher, a Sponsor, a Team Leader, an Instructional Coach, and a Classroom Teacher.

I have worked in Early Childhood Education through the secondary level providing support to students and staff.

This is my 7th year at Hamilton Elementary and my 12th year with Saint Louis Public School District teaching at the elementary level.

I enjoy reading, decorating, being with friends/ family, and TEACHING!
