    Biography:

I have been the Special Education Resource teacher at Wilkinson Early Childhood Center for six years and am now going into my seventh year and this will be my 22nd year teaching special education.

I love being a Wilkie Bear and love all the little Wilkie Bear students. We are a close-knit school community. I consider all students at Wilkinson my students. I work with an awesome group of K-2 special needs students daily. I like to have open and often communication with the parents of my students.

I look forward to working hard with my amazing parents to give their children the best learning experience that is possible.

    My educational background and experience:

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Missouri State University, a Master's degree in Special Education K-21 from Fontbonne University and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Computer Education from Phoenix University. I have been teaching special education since 2001 and still enjoy my job.

I am Wilkinson's Robotics coach. We have a small group of students each year who are selected to be part of the First Lego League's annual robotics competition.

I also teach ESOL online. I teach English to children in China on a daily basis. I am in my third year and I love it.

    My personal background:

I have a 10-year-old son, Kole who is the center of my universe. I live in St.Louis, Missouri. I love to go to the movies, sporting events, attend Kole's sporting events, being a mother and a teacher, playing sports and going to the beach when I can.
