    Assistant Principal's Message:

    Dear Rockets,

    Welcome to the 2024-2025 academic school year!  I am excited and honored to serve AESM staff, students, families, and the community, as assistant principal.  It is my focus to lead with love.  This means professionally dealing with things that may be difficult or uncomfortable, making decisions that are fair, actively listening and using a multi-perspective approach, helping others discover their own individual strengths and talents, while impacting each person in such a way that we all learn and grow together.  
     
    Biography:  I was born and raised here in St. Louis, Missouri.  I am a graduate of Normandy High School.  Before transitioning into education, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  After a few months of working in the field, I made a career change and began my journey in education.  I worked for 13 years with SLPS as a substitute teacher before returning to school.  I then received my elementary teaching certificate and Master's Degree in Education through Lindenwood University.  I also hold an additional certificate in Middle School English Language Arts.  This is my eleventh year with AESM. The last four years here, I served as the Dean of Students.
     
    Personal: In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, bowling, skating, and spending time with my family and friends.
