Ms. Young
Hello.
My name is Ms. Young. I am So excited to be here at Shenandoah Elementary! This is the beginning of my third year at Shenandoah Elementary. I have over 25 years of experience working with children, mainly in early childhood education. Over my career, I have worked with the Jennings and Normandy School Districts. I have also worked with the YWCA Head Start Program. I have an AAS Degree in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Communication from the University Of Missouri St. Louis.
I have been involved with Ready Readers of St. Louis, and St. Louis Public Library, Central Branch, as a volunteer. I have always enjoyed going to the library. It has been a very special and magical place for me. The library offers not only a wide variety of books to read, but a vast range of e-books, movies and music to check out. It also offers several community programs, such as music concerts, crafts, children's and special teen events.
I hope our Shenandoah School Library will be a very special place for each one of you. I will try my best to make that happen. I will be partnering with the librarians at the St. Louis City Public Library Barr and Carpenter branches, to bring you information about community programs and events. So come to the library, find a good book or listen to me read one. We will also do other fun and engaging literary activities. Looking forward to a Great school year!
See you in the library,
Ms. Young
